Laurel Island parkway & Gross Road   Kingsland, Georgia

Moneymaker speed trap. Limit is 35 and he sits under the trees on right as soon as you turn south on gross Road. A couple of hundred yards north of the fire station. Speed limit is too low for the road. Looks like a major road. I got a ticket my first time on it.

Highway 17/N. Lee St., near small playground   Kingsland, Georgia

There is a small unlit parking area for this playground where a cop car will wait with its lights off in the middle of the night. The speed limit changes from 45 to 35 in that area.

hwy 40 east from US 1   Kingsland, Georgia

the deputy sits on side of road where the passing route is located with no visible lights. appears to be an abandoned vechile. When you accelerate to pass slower traffic you are stopped for speeding in a 55mph zone. You must have a short acceleration burst to pass another vechile. This is a trap. I now understand the same procedure is being used on 301S at city limits into folkston. Thank-you

Just north of Exit 7 (Harrietts Bluff ) to Exit 3 ( Hwy 40)   Kingsland, Georgia

Cops lay in wait along different areas of this 4 mile stretch. They may be in plain sight in the center median, they may be hidden in the treed area near Exit 3 or they hide on the Overpass at Exit 7 shooting their speed guns off the bridge into oncoming traffic and then radio ahead to patrol cars who slyly lie in wait on the entrance ramps to I-95. They will allow you to go close to 80 mph but once you hit 80 or go over they will stop you in a heartbeat. These cops WILL give you a ticket and there's a 99% chance they WILL illegally search your car. BE PREPARED. Between the Camden County Sheriffs Office, the Kingsland Police and the GA State Patrol they have to be making a killing in fine revenues. Our cops drive brand new cars at least every two years. Does YOUR local police station own a DODGE VIPER ?? There are marked patrol cars, unmarked cars and big black SUVs .... watch out for all of them.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
