City Limits especially Hwy 27 by-pass   Lafayette, Georgia

Motorists are stopped and ticketed for the slightest excess over posted speed limits and fines are extremely high. I was detained by an officer, ticketed and told that I would be notified by mail of court date and time. I was in a company car traveling through that area on business. I later received a letter that my court date was on a Saturday at 9:00 A.M. I live in central GA and Lafayette is in extreme NW GA. Instead of driving from central GA to Lafayette on a Saturday I mailed a check to the court for $122. Charge was 65/45 when my speedometer registered between 45 and 50 m.p.h.
