Milton, Georgia Speed Traps
Hopewell Road @ Philips Road
Hopewell and Philips is boundary for Milton City Police. Reduce speed to 45 for Milton City. Officer is hiding behind trees with radar.
Cogburn near North Park entrance
Officers will hide near the entrance to the park with their lights off at night to catch speeders travelling North/South on Cogburn. 40 MPH limit on this road.
Bethany Rd. – Heading north of Mayfield toward Providence.
Officer had to be in a driveway (no lights on) around 10:30 pm. Never saw him. Caught me going down the hill on Bethany Rd. before stop sign at Providence Rd. If you go down that hill, you’ll easily reach 50 in a 40 with no gas. Said I was doing 54 in the 40. I was technically speeding, but unless you ride the brakes down this hill, you are bound to speed. Bummer.
Arnold Mill just south of Fulton/Cherokee line (GA 140)
Late night – cop sits in total dark facing south in front of what used to be Chadwick Hardware Store parking area far enough off the road that headlights don’t reflect off car’s lettering. You are already even with him before you can see him. My experience has been the time is 10 0r 11 at least when cop sets up the trap. There is not enogh traffic to justify this so it must be a trap. It is just below the Little River bridge which is the county line. Observed several times. Stopped once.
Freemanville Road
North of Redd Road, on the north side of the bridge, cop is on left side of the road. I’ve been ticketed and see others being ticketed typically shortly after dusk through about 9:00 pm.
