I75 South Near Mile Mark 191

Forsythe, GeorgiaMar 09, 20120 Comments

Monroe County Sheriff Deputy was hiding in the median concealed by a woodline. The distance to the woodline is 223.5 feet, a violation of Georgia Code 40-14-7, which requires police officers to be visible by at least 500 feet of approaching traffic. Georgia has laws to reduce speed traps in the State; however, the Sheriff’s office commonly violates the law. The Deputy pulled over three vehicles at one time claiming that all were speeding 87-88 mph in a 70 mph zone. Be careful driving on 175 in Monroe County near Forsythe, Georgia. The police officers there are ruthless and will violate Georgia Speed Trap Laws.
