By pass   Richland, Georgia

I got a ticket for 56 mph in a 55 mph zone, officer said that I was driving too fast for conditions because it rained earlier in the day. Officer also called me "boy" about 5 times. Richland is the only place I know of where the word "boy" is pronounced with about 5 syllables.

Richland Byp & Wall St   Richland, Georgia

SR520 Near Mile Marker 11. Hilly desolate 4 Lane Divided Highway West of Richland Ga. Several miles outside of Richland City Limits. Speed Limit is 55 MPH. Richland City Police sit at top of hills or patrol both directions catching people as they top hills. Dont understand how or if they have legal jurisdiction but they are constantly there writing tickets.

Highway 520 Bypass   Richland, Georgia

Police aggressivly patrol the by-pass, which has a 55 MPH speed limit. The by-pass is designed to move traffic. It is very sparsly populated, so the tendency is to drive at the usual speed of 65 MPH. Since the by-pass was constructed, it has caused the town to suffer economically, so they have apparently decided to generate new revenue. As a result, a ticket costs $149.00.
