@ caution light right in front of the gas station on Hwy 17 Rocky Ford, Georgia

Officers from the city PD. will sit at this intersection and target any vehicle with out of county tags. If you are not from the State.......you are doomed, as they know you will not appear to fight the summons. The city depends on these tickets to balance their budget. Be sure to have a video camera, or cell phone and document the whole stop as they frequently violate the 4th amendment. You will need the proof. Trust me !!

Hwy 17 & Cr 237 at caution light Rocky Ford, Georgia

This stretch of Hwy 17 has essentially zero traffic and barely nicks the outskirts of the town proper -- I never saw any evidence of a town. The intersection w/caution light is at the bottom of a steep hill and positioned such that it is almost impossible to adequately slow down to exactly 45mph (or much slower if you have a Florida tag) without jamming on brakes. Police are typically stationed side-by-side facing both directions on Hwy 17. Also worth mentioning: The mailing address of the Rocky Ford City Hall and Police Department is P.O. Box 1 and their office hours are 4PM-6PM.

US HWY 17 N near 17 @ Convience Store Rocky Ford, Georgia

Police officer sits by from caution light. My husband was going 45 in a 45 mph zone. Officer gave him a ticket for going 65. Couldn't prove he inaccurately used radar, even with GPS info. Under Georgia Annotated Code 35-8-12, I plan to file a complaint with the commissioner's office for improper use of speed detection device. I would advise anyone with a legitimate complaint to do the same.

US Highway 17 N near 17 @ Convience Store @ Rocky Ford Rocky Ford, Georgia

If you are from Florida, you are going to get either a speeding ticket or a fine for having tinted windows. The cop sits N of the intersection & convience store and when he wakes from his snooze, tickets the first tourist he sees. This is a disgrace to the uniform and the Good people of Ga.
