This section is 45 mph 4 lane divided hwy. as you come across the over pass headed east it is downhill. Usually a motorcycle cop is at the bottom just past John Maddox Conn

Hwy 53 and Loop 1 Bypass Rome, Georgia

Cars or motorcycle park just over hill or in church parking lot driveways using radar and laser to monitor southbound traffic coming from Calhoun into Rome. The speed limit changes from 65 to 55 at the hill as the highway curves to the left.

US 27 North at Berry College main entrance Rome, Georgia

Rome City Motorcycle Officers will sit at the redlight across from the Berry College entrance and speed check cars going north. There is a slight curve in the road just before that point and you will not see them until you are around the curve and getting clocked. Speed limit is 45 and 55 will get you a ticket.

City police are usually parked across from West Cental Elementary School in the parking lot of Sysco. Sometimes they are in cars, but most of the time they are on motercycles.There is a speed limit during school times, but they are also parked their at other times when school is not in during the evenings.
