Roswill RD between I285 and Piedmont   Sandy Springs, Georgia

This whole strip is a speed trap, especially the area where it become Sandy Springs. The cops here basically always have 3-4 cop cars on this stretch of the road doing nothing but stopping people for tickets. It's very easy to go faster then the posted speed limit of 35 here and they know it.

Peachtree Dunwoody Road / Spalding Drive   Sandy Springs, Georgia

Once you turn onto Peachtree Dunwoody Road going southbound away from Spalding Drive, you can encounter several police cars as you round the bend near Post Property Apts and the Marta station redlight. I received a ticket between 7:30 AM and 8:15 AM in April 2011. The traffic was light and people were on spring break and I didn't realize that I was speeding. School is now out for a lot of students and the traffic is now lighter so you will need to watch your speed. The speed limit is 35 mph in that area.

Roswell Rd 1/4 mile south of I-285   Sandy Springs, Georgia

Every weekday morning from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM. Two cruisers sit between Lake Placid and Northwood Dr. watching for vehicles to pass a stopped school bus. Speed limit is 35mph, they will stop you if your doing 40mph or any other violation they can find.

Johnson Ferry Northbound before Abernathy Rd   Sandy Springs, Georgia

At 7:30AM, I noticed a Sandy Springs police officer sitting on the shoulder of Johnson Ferry Rd in his black cruiser (it was still VERY dark outside) running solid on Ka radar and running from behind him. He was situated between the neighborhoods, and on the other side of the construction barrels, as to be super sneaky. This is a construction zone, so be careful. At this time of the morning, it's very easy to speed down the Northbound lane as Southbound is in heavy traffic.

GA 400 - Holcomb Bridge To Toll Booth - Either Direction   Sandy Springs, Georgia

Be aware. The cops will hide behind what looks like a broken down truck with their radar gun....OR...(This is important)...They will cruise the entire stretch of road...Especially early morning...and slip in behind you...and then use thier dashboard speedodmeter to clock you ....and...they use thier dash cam too. I know because I got a $150 lesson from these 'cops.' Be aware!!!!

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
