How can some of you people say that you were driving at say 52 mph in a 35 mph zone and it was a “speed trap”? When are you going to be MAN ENOUGH to admit that you were speeding? There is NOWHERE on Roswell Rd. that is even 50 mph, so it’s not like they caught you when the speed changed.

Dunwoody Pl just beyond Roberts Road

Cop sits in a church parking lot just out of view. I personally took a wrong turn onto Dunwoody pl. The church is no more that 30 years from Roberts roads. This guy said I was doing 55 in a 35. I had just turn onto dunwoody pl. No Way! Free money for Sandy Springs, GA.

This stretch is very flat and wide, with the posted speed limit a ridiculous 35 mph. I got a ticket (my first in over 20 years) recently and they charged nearly as much as the law allows. (I paid $235 for going 54 mph). I deliberately do not shop in Sandy Springs because of these money-grubbing speed traps, and they are developing quite a rep for them.

Just S of 285 southbound on Roswell Road

A school bus trap 7:30-8:00 a.m. patrolled by two hidden cop cars. Very easy to not see bus stop and they will ticket every time.. $500.00
You really have no chance if bus pulls Stop sign late. Really sneaky, deplorable police work. No education, just tickets

Roswill RD between I285 and Piedmont

This whole strip is a speed trap, especially the area where it become Sandy Springs. The cops here basically always have 3-4 cop cars on this stretch of the road doing nothing but stopping people for tickets. It’s very easy to go faster then the posted speed limit of 35 here and they know it.
