Hwy 19 North entering Upson County   Thomaston, Georgia

Decending down Buzzard Mountain going south you enter Upson County. The State Patrol sits on the section of Old Hwy 19 facing North and just around the curve on the new section of Hwy 19.

State Highway 19 near State Route N & S of Thomaston   Thomaston, Georgia

Georgia State Patrol wrote me a ticket for no seatbelt then proceeded to tell me I was traveling 59 in a 55 zone also said I was to drive ONLY in the right lane except to pass. Did not write me a ticket for the two latter violations.

Barnesville Street near Avenue G to Avenue E   Thomaston, Georgia

The speed trap is on Barnesville St. The police are usually sitting parked, with lights off, on the "old mill" parking lots or at the Easy Stop store, mainly at night or around 5 am, trying to catch us commuters to out-of-town jobs it seems. Wish they would patrol the neighorhoods for the "crack dealers" and leave us commuters alone. Also watch out anywhere in Upson Co., because the State Patrol and sheriff's department are swarming like buzzards also.
