Toccoa, Georgia Speed Traps
hwy 17 bypass at curahee lane
They love to sit several places on hwy 17 bypass (this 17 is like expressway, 4 lane with median and it goes around toccoa to habersham county, locals call it a bypass which it really is but the state and city calls it 17 and calls 17 thru town 17 alternate) but one of there favorite spots and they are there quite frequently is at curahee lane in center of bypass just as you come up and over hill there they are.
GA 17 Alt. (aka, Big "A" Road)
Toccoa city cops tend to sit near the old drive-in theater entrance, on top of the hill just after the entrance to the high school (going northbound). Law is 500′ of visibility, and in no way is there a chance of 500′ of visibility. Be careful in and aound city limits as the Toccoa PD isn’t slack about speeding tickets. 5 over is safe, but anything more is a risk.
