Highway #1near Wrens Middle School   Wrens, Georgia

When passing Wrens Middle School, you think you can pick up speed; but note you're still in 35mph until reaching 55mph. That's when police get you with radar as you come out of the curve, they're sitting there waiting with radar gun aimed at the curve. If someone is in front of you, you still get it. Only got 2 speeding tixs in my life, they were both at that spot.

on HWY 1 outside of Wrens going to Augusta   Wrens, Georgia

Once you leave the City of Wrens the speed goes from 45mph to 55mph for about 3 miles, then it turns into 65mph like it should be anyway. This is a 2-lane with a median there is no school zone nor are you in a city limit. The 55mph zone is in deed a speed trap by design.

US Highway 1   Wrens, Georgia

On Highway 1 from Augusta to Wrens the four lane slows from a 55 MPH zone to a 45 MPH zone. The speed zone changes about three miles out of Wrens. On the south side of Wrens Highway 1 is a two lane with a 55 MPH zone. The Wrens police patrol it regularlly so be careful. The only reason this four lane is a 45 is to catch unsuspecting motorists!
