HWY 287 North of Palestine Texas

The speed limit will drop from 70 mph to 45mph and then increase to 60 and keep you driving 60 for about 2 miles for no reason. Be careful because this is where they give you a ticket. There is usually a DPS officer sitting in a pasture drive because there are no houses, business’ or any other drives for him to sit and wait….very rural area and unbelievable that this is allowed. The speed should drop when you drive through the T intersection but that is all.

On U S Highway 287 going east or west through Cayuga,TX.
