Grand Ridge, Illinois Speed Traps

The town itself is a mile long. The speed limit is 55 mph, then drops to 45mph, then 40 mph with in a quarter mile. Then on school days it drops to 20 if children are present. The cop usually sits in the school parking lot at the far end and is about 75 feet from the road way. You can drive through the town and not notice the signs because they are the older state size hwy signs. You never know when the officer is out because it is a one officer town. The town is located between Ottawa & Streator, IL

Police sit at the Grand ridge Grade school any tine day or night. speed limit is 40mph but if you even do 3 miles over they got you. I have seen a lot of people get tickets there for even going a few miles over. both county and city sit there
