Lincolnshire, Illinois Speed Traps

They just changed the speed limit from 45 to 40 between Aptakisic and 22, so they’re really trying to cash in on it. Seen cars hiding by the corporate park.

Going North on Milwaukee Ave. Between Aptakistic Rd. And Half Day Road. Their is a Dark Blue unmarked car parked on a side road on the east side of Milwaukke Ave. just 1 block north of Aptakistic Rd. He is using some kind of radar gun and you won’t notice them until it’s too late. They have been there for the last couple of weeks in the morning.

If you are traveling westbound (I think that is the direction) on Rt. 22 (Half Day Road) toward Milwaukee Ave (Rt. 21) from 94 there is always a cop close to the light at Old Half Day Road. It’s easy to speed over there as you’d think the speed limit would be similar to that of Rt. 60, 40mph, but it’s not. It’s 35…so if you’re going 45, which may seem a safe speed, you’re GOING To get pulled over. Lincolnshire cops are horrible! I’ve been caught there once, and so have a few people I know. When I was applying for a job with the Libertyville PD they saw the tick on my record and commented that Lincolnshire cops are rough.

milwaukee road’s speed limit is 35 and increases to 50 right after the gas station. Some people start to speed up a little earlya dn thats when they get nailed.the speed limit needs to increase sooner, and even the 50 is too low for the area. the cops understand this and usually will not give u a ticket unless you are going more then 10 over.

Squad car is pulled off the road, into trees on the northwest corner of Highway 22 and Riverwoods Road. The squad has a good visual line of sight on westbound cars approaching and eastbound cars departing the intersection.
