Interstate I-294 mile marker # 11 near 159th Street
There is an "Authorized Vehicles Only turnaround" and the Stae Police car is usually on the South bound side of the concrete median, ALMOST out of view for Northbound traffic, until coming underneath (past) 159th street bridge which goes over 294 perpendicular to 294. Laser is used by the officer who stands nest to his car and leans on the door to steady it. Then he just pulls his car through the turnaround and takes off to the north to run down the speeder. I’ve also seen them there with radar guns, but Laser. Speed limit is only 55 MPH and average speed out there is over 70 easily. Watch out!
159th Street near Richmond Avenue
If you’re heading west on 159th as soon as you cross over I-294 uou can usually find one sitting off on the side by Holiday Inn Express. County sheriffs are common in the area late night also.
