Speed trap is on Raffel Rd between Rt. 120 and St. Johns Rd. Officer sits in a driveway in the valley between the two hills and catches people at the
Peaks of the hills coming from both ways, sporadically, usually early mornings or evenings. Speed limit is 30mph and if driver is speeding at the peak of either hill it is too late. You cannot spot the officer until it is too late. It is best to do the speed limit all the times.

Banford Rd, at the small park by the hills

This area frequently has a cop waiting in or near the parking lot of the little park, where he can easily paint cars coming from Queen Anne. As you crest the steep hills here, you will likely accelerate to a speed greater than 30mph, for which you’re ticketed.

Route 47 near Hercules Road Heading Southbound out of town

As you leave Woodstock heading for Huntley, a cop sits in a factory parking lot on the West side of 47 where the 50 mile per hour speed limit sign is in clear view. However, the speed limit is 40. They anticipate you accellerating early as you are heading into the open road and they shoot you just before the 50 mile per hour sign.

Traveling north from Lucas Rd towards Rt14 an unmarked squad car sits in a driveway clocking speeders. They can also get vehicles heading south on Dean St not traveling at 45 mph by Apple Creek Subdivision. Afternoon speed trap. Most days.

They also sit up in the trees on the east side of Dean just south of Hericules Rd by gravel bike path clocking southbound traffic. Can also get north bound traffic. On dry days as this is dirt currently. Morning rush hours.

State Highway ILL. Route 47 near Charles Road
