Clermont, Indiana Speed Traps

Clermont Lions Club Park is the place the police car sits. Speed limit is 25 mph on Tansel Rd, and the police sit with their radar almost all day long.

Anywhere southbound on Raceway Road from where you enter Clermont all the way to 21st Street. I was stopped (some time ago) by a rookie. He had to give me a warning because his radar didn’t work. He said I was going 57 in a 40, but that was impossible since I had my cruise set.

Anywhere along US 36 in Clermont, or any road running perpendicular to US 36 within the Clermont town limits is fair game. I’ve been ticketed for 5 over on a Sunday morning, on the way to church! Also, friends have had many experiences with officers with a far less than professional demeanor or approach.

The speed limit is 30 miles per hour through this small town just west of Indianapolis. Police are on patrol almost every time you pass through. It is only about a mile stretch, but they strictly enforce the 30mph speed limit! It is easy for them to hide all through the town, but watch out for them in the neighborhood entrance just east of the railroad bridge, where they are shielded from both directions.
