On Hwy 32 West of Crawfordsville

A state cop sits in the parking lot at the church in Yountsville waiting for people to pop over the hill. The speed drops to 50mph right before you top the hill. They are usually there in morning hours.

US Hwy 231 S & W 1150 S

I had to put this under Crawfordsville as Parkersburg isn’t listed as a town selection. Watch your speed on 231 either entering Parkersburg from the north or south. Speeds drops to 45 and a Montgomery county mountie sits off on the west side of the road, watching. You have more of a warning of reduced speed approaching from the north, but from the south, you go around a curve and the town" (?) is right there along with the 45mph sign. That place is easy pickings for speeding tickets."

State Highway 231 North near Lafayette Avenue

Crawfordsville, IndianaMay 06, 20080 Comments

In the early morning hours just before daylight, the Crawfordville City Police are backed in to the drive to the Masonic Cemetery on the east side of 231 North, just north of the stop light at Lafayette Avenue.

Oak Hill Road near Lafayette Avenue

Crawfordsville, IndianaMay 06, 20080 Comments

Oak Hill Road from Lafayette Avenue to Old 55 is patrolled constantly by an overzealous State Trooper looking to snag anyone going over the ridiculous posted limit of 30 MPH. It is nearly impossible to keep your speed down to 30 MPH and 40 MPH or 45 MPH would not be out of reason for that area with exception to the areas adjacent to the two churches located on that road.

County Trunk 550 North near US Highway US 231

Crawfordsville, IndianaJan 26, 20080 Comments

Approximately 1mile east of US231 on county road 550 North, Indiana State Police Troopers are exploiting the unrealistic posted speed limit of 40mph. Their stated reason is to slow down teenagers as this is close to a local high school; however, I was cited at 7:30PM
