La Porte, Indiana Speed Traps
pine lake ave from mcdonalds to 39 turn off by family expres
Usually they pratrol this area heavy becuse of the hotels and the bars located catching people coming in or going out.
State Road 39 between Route 30 and Route 2
I know that this is a very long distance but use caution over this entire stretch as count officers use darkness to hide along the sides of the road to run radar.
Driveways, turn lanes, side roads are all places that they park in the darkness.
Another method that they use is to tailgate someone so closely that traffic coming at them cannot see them until they are close enough to suprise the speeder with a burst of radar. Very dangerous practice but, they apparently can get away with it.
downtown
speed limit 25. Easy to exceed when trying to catch green lights. Coming and going from the west and east.
State Route State Rd 2 West near Andrew Avenue
West of Andrew Ave. just past Kabelin’s & Walgreens, but before entrance to K-Mart.
Boyd Boulevard near State Highway 2 and also state road 4
Be careful on Boyd Blvd, between Highway 2 and state road 4, the police monitor this stretch all day long, a lot of hiding places for them, where you can’t see them! It is a 45 MPH zone, don’t even go 5-8 miles over!
