Ridge Rd & Columbia Ave

Munster, IndianaOct 30, 20081 Comments

Police sit in several positions between Indianapolis Blvd. and Calumet Avenue. They are most active on the weekends. The speed limit is 35 mph and they are very active in the evening (especially with Illinois Drivers), but Indiana drivers are not immune. You should not go 1 mile beyond the speed limit between Calumet and Indianapolis (going either way).

Margo Avenue near 45th Street

Munster, IndianaOct 18, 20070 Comments

The police will sit in the parking Dawn foods parking lot (as if a regular car) and get you coming down Margo. It’s a straight away into/out of the West Lakes subdivision (and it’s LONG). The speed limit there is 25 mph and there is nothing there but a field and the airport fence line.

Also, they will sit inside of the neighborhood just before the curve in the evening or after dark and get you coming into the neighborhood as well…

DO NOT speed on this street! They watch it!

Harrison Avenue near Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church

Munster, IndianaOct 15, 20070 Comments

Heading North on Harrison (which is a long, 25 MPH street, with no stop signs)you will come up to Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church. There will be a small hill just big enough to hide a squad car behind it. They pull over people there all of the time. When you expect they are there, they aren’t, and when you say "There’s not going to be a cop there" there always will be. (Usually Dusk till 9 or 10 p.m.) ESPECIALLY ON WEEKENDS
