Upton, New York Speed Traps

This is a speed trap but also other vehicle and traffic laws are enforced here that is located on the William Floyd Parkway between the LIE and the exit for 25 East/Riverhead. While traveling north on the William Floyd Parkway you have the Brookhaven National Laboratory property which takes up the majority of this road way between the LIE and 25 East/Riverhead exit. You will see the Upton, NY/Brookhaven National Laboratory Police and the US Federal Protective Service enforcing laws. On occasion you will see the Suffolk County Police/Highway Patrol and the Suffolk County Sheriffs Office on this stretch, north bound. While traveling south bound on the same stretch of road you will see the Upton, NY/Brookhaven National Laboratory Police, the US Federal Protective Service, Suffolk County Police/Highway Patrol and the Suffolk County Sheriffs Office. I have seen vehicles pulled over by all 4 of them going both north and south bound.

The area on the north side of the LIE between exits 68 and 69 is know as Upton. This is where the Brookhaven National Laboratory is located. I have not been stopped here but I have seen the Suffolk County Police Highway Patrol, Suffolk County Sheriffs Office, New York State Police, Upton, NY/Brookhaven National Laboratory Police and the US Federal Protective Service enforcing traffic laws both eastbound and westbound traffic between exits 68 and 69 on the LIE.
