Police stops you say you were speeding doing 60 to 63 and he is helping you out by writing ticket for unsafe driving, won’t go against insurance and paid to town of Damascus. Only profile out of state tags. Just way for town to make quick dollar.

Highway 412 toward Alpena

Trooper will sit on the right side of the road, inside his patrol car, with his lights flashing….but no car in front of him pulled over. When you pass him without “pulling to the left lane” of this four lane road….he will pull out and stop you for violating the Arkansas Pull Over Law. He will do this when he is in his patrol car, with no car pulled over in front of him. One officer in particular likes to do this.

This is a correction to the first listed speed trap. The speed trap no longer exists, the speed limit is now 65 mph, if you drive any faster than that you deserve a ticket, thank you.

65 North, through Ridgeway, up to Missouri.

Harrison, ArkansasSep 24, 20090 Comments

This section of 65 is under construction to extend the 4-lane from Missouri, south to the new 65/62 interchange. The monitoring agencies are Sheriff Department and Arkansas State Police. The speed limit is 55, with many limited visibility curves, and mixed woods/pasture/turnouts. Beware of traffic monitoring, deer, and entering/leaving traffic.

65 North/US 62 on north edge of Harrison

Harrison, ArkansasNov 24, 20080 Comments

This stretch of road is frequently monitored by Arkansas State Police, Boone County Sheriff Dept, and Harrison City PD. The Harrison speed limit is 45, then 55 on the outbound side. Due to the new interchange with wide lanes, drivers often think they are entering freeway speeds, but this is not the case. The welcome center is a great place for traffic monitoring. Ignore the locals that will tailgate you if you are proceeding at the speed limit, or outright passing you up. Stick with the limits.
