On each side of Lapalco Blvd near Timberlane Estates

Harvey, LouisianaFeb 18, 20110 Comments

There are speed cameras on both sides of Lapalco Blvd. If you are headed towards Wall from Manhattan Blvd on Lapalco, it is right around the gated community gates. If you are headed towards Manhattan from Wall, it is just passed the Timberlane Country Club. The cameras are small, round, and white. They go so far as to swivel and track your car if you are speeding.

About 3 cop cars sit at this old beat up brown building on Destrehan right before you go over the overpass bridge that is right before you go under the Lapalco Bridge. One cop stands in the street and tags you, pulls you over and the other 2 or 3 cops write the tickets

This one is located on breaux ave,11th st. harvey right near brooklyn ave stop sign and sometimes closer to manhattan The police are always on motorcycles and on foot hiding in the weeds speed limit is 20 mph whch is understandable as it is a small road but 99% of commuters dont obey mostly take this road to avoid lapalco traffic

I received a ticket for doing 9 over a week ago and the officer told me he was getting a free toaster as a prize for giving so many tickets

400 block of Manhattan right after you turn off of 4th street

Harvey, LouisianaOct 07, 20031 Comments

mostly it’s a motorcycle police who sits off to the right on the corner of the first street when you tirn off of 4th street onto Manhattan Blvd. they are there everyday at lunch time. the speed limit is only 20mph, and should be at least 30. this is what i would call a speed trap

Woodmere Subdivision

Harvey, LouisianaSep 05, 20020 Comments

The main streets are 30 mph in the neighborhood but the smaller side streets are marked 20 mph. Currently due to many construction projects on the main roads, many people who usually take the main streets are taking the smaller side streets but not reducing their regular driving speed of 30 mph and are getting snared in numerous amounts by these predatory deputies.
