US Highway hwy 165 near Exit Number 44 /this heads northbound

Jeff Davis, LouisianaApr 16, 20081 Comments

When traveling north on Hwy. 165 near I-10, the speed is 45 mph, then while still northbound to Woodlawn it is 55,then it drops down to 50 when entering Woodlawn, outside of Woodlawn, it goes back to 55. Before entering Fenton, the speed drops down to 50, this is 50 all the way past Fenton on its northside almost a mile, then to your left you will see a sign that says the maximum speed limit for the next 7 miles is 55, about a 1/16th of a mile to the right now says the speed limit is down to 45! When traveling southbound through Fenton, the speed limit in town is 50 then on the outskirts of Fenton it drops down to 45! There are no signs that raise the speed limit back up to 55. the next sign is 50 at Woodlawn! While the northbound traffic in between Woodlawn and Fenton can legally drive 55, the southbound have to legally drive 45 because there is no speed limit sign on the south side of
Fenton that says 55! It is a steady speed trap! and confusing and illegal and unfair and unequal to all!

Both east and west bound on I-10 on both sides of overpass at the exit to the Kinder casino (mega-traffic).
Both east and west bound on I-10 between Welsh and Jennings usually behind the overpasses and exits.
