Norco, Louisiana Speed Traps

Bottom of Spillway levee in front of a Shell gas station. The 55 mph speed limit drops to 50 right here and used to be 45 before it was just recently raised to 50 in the town.

Coming towards laplace from Norco, right after you have gotten off the spillway, there is a small bridge with a large bush next to it, a cop will sit behind that bush just off to the right of the road and get em everytime! The speed limit is about 40 mph but the temptation is 60! BE CAREFUL!!!!

State Trooper takes radar on traffic coming off the Bonnet Carre Spillway Bridge heading North on Highway 61 toward Laplace. They park either on right shoulder just off the bridge or park in the median closer to the top of levee.
Early mornings, between 6-8 AM is prime time for this these guys!!!

This trap is usually on the west bound section of us 61 heading toward Laplace….right before you get to the Valero Refinery State troopers usually set up on the right side of the road behind some brush on the side of the road ….we usually look for brake lights way up the road to see if they are there are not before getting to the location….good luck; there’s no talk-out option on these guys….The Enterprise Driver
