Route 6 west bound half way around the rotary, Eastham, Orleans, and State troopers will sit and wait as people enter the rotary. The speed limit is well marked.

all of route 6 that runs thru Eastham is posted at 40mph and all police vehicles have both moving and stionary radar.

All three towns on Cape Cod have high traffic enforcement and all police vehicle marked and unmarked are all equipped with both stationary and moving radar.

US-6 entire length through town   Eastham, Massachusetts

US-6 through Eastham is 6 miles and 4 lanes on its entire length through town. Until April 1998, it was 40mph in S Eastham and 50mph in N Eastham. Now it's 40mph all through Eastham due to citizen lobbying. Fact that it's a 4-lane US Highway may fool travellers into speeding. Whereas in most places you'll be left alone if you're 10 or less above limit, in Eastham this is not the case. Would not recommend driving over 45mph on this stretch. I've seen officers hiding in 10-20 different places along this stretch over the last 20 years, so I'm listing the entire run of US-6 in Eastham as one speed trap.
