Lenox, Massachusetts Speed Traps
State Highway Rt. 7/20 N near Housatonic St. Crossing
Mass.State Police will sit in a rest area just north of Housatonic St. They are visible but you can come up on them pretty fast. The speed limit is 50 or 55 but it is always abused.
East Street near EASTOVER
Cops in response to resident complaints have been regularly sitting in street around the Eastover Resort. Speed post varies from 20 to 40 and and is totally unrealistic when diving conditions are good. Cops will usually only give you a ticket for 10 mph over ($100) so YOU won’t try to fight it in court. Lenox has been order to pay Canyon Rach back over paid taxes and seems to be using "speeder" to do that.
State Route 40014 near holmes Road
Lenox Cops patrol and sit off the side of RT 7 / 20 between the Arcadian shop and Haddad car dealer ship. The sit behind the Luau Hale Resturant, in the entrance to Twelve Oaks among other places. Where they sit varies but anywhere between tge Arcadian shop and Haddads is fair game if a police car is seen in the mobil station at the corner of holmes Rd your pretty safe.
