Somerset Avenue near County Street   Somerset, Massachusetts

As you are traveling north, they sit on the left hand side of the road just behind the strip mall. The posted speed limit is 25mph. However, the Mass Highway Dept. has no records of a speed study being done for that section of Somerset Ave. This section of road is just before merging onto Rt.138.

Whetstone hill Road near Rosewood Road   Somerset, Massachusetts

Motorists travelling east on Whetstone Hill Road reach the top of a very steep hill and begin to come down the other side. At the very bottom of the hill off to the right the police wait for you to come into view. The speed is 30mph BUT, it is not posted anywhere on this road in either direction. Unless you brake heavily coming down the hill you cannot avoid increasing speed even with your foot OFF the pedal. It is relatively easy to beat this ticket as the local PD uses a liason officer and the court is usually to jammed to wait for long hearings.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
