Stat police as well as Spencer Police will sit in this little driveway "town parking lot" and do speed patrol. They usually sit at night and can’t be seen if your traveling eastbound.

State Highway Rt. 9 near State Route

I see a State Trooper many many times tucked into the little street to the left of the Spencer town hall on Rt. 9- Main St. He park to the left of the town hall it’s self and will often find people slipping through a questionable light change or for any that might be going a tad bit over the low posted speed limit for that area.

Cherry Street near Greenville

Cherry and Greenville Streets, are usually heavily ticketed in the Early am. Usually by one officer but sometimes 2 are set up there. It’s a really easy place to go over the speed limit, but it’s also a place they can handily hand out alot of tickets in a short period of time. I not only live closeby but have a scanner so I see and hear these in the early am hours.

State Highway 9 near on hill, east of Town Hall

Spencer, MassachusettsDec 03, 20030 Comments

Coming over the top of the hill that heads into downtown Spencer, they sit at the end of a one-way bypass that goes in front of the biggest church in town. It’s half-way down the hill, one you have to ride the brakes or stay in 2nd gear to stay under the unrealistic 30mph limit. Usually, they run in the "instant on" mode, and you can’t see the cruiser until you’re on top of it, they park there with all lights off. Some will give you 40-45, one female LEO will nick you for as little as 5 over.

Main St. at the Price Chopper parking lot

Normally they will sit at the exit and just wait for you to crest the hill (West bound) or speed through the intersection (East bound)
