Westborough, Massachusetts Speed Traps
Westborough/ Upton road
As soon as you cross the line from Upton into Westborough the speed limit drops to 30 mph. To go 30 on this road you litterally have to take your foot off the gas pedal. There are cops waiting around the little league field all the time.
Hastings Elementary School Parking Lot
A cop usually just sits here and watches as cars drive by on Rte. 30. The speed limit is 30 mph, but during school times the speed limit is 20 mph.
Rt. 135 Milk Street at Maple Circle
A Westborough PO usually sits on Maple Circle (across from Maynard). The speed limit is 30 mph. Recently residents of Milk Street have been complaining of people driving too fast. Many people have gotten pulled over at this spot. The PO usually pulls someone over by stepping in the middle of the road.
Oak St. near the District Courthouse
Many people take the shortcut from Lyman St to Rte. 135 on Chauncy/Oak St (Westboro Swim & Tennis Club). Heading west on Oak, just before you get to the District Courthouse on your left, there’s a roadway leading up to the Lyman Boys School. Often, there’s a black, unmarked local PD car waiting on this roadway, off the main one. It’s marked 30mph.
Rte. 9 West Under the 495 Overpass
Heading westbound on Rte 9, inbetween the two overpass roadways there is a small driveway to nowhere. A Westborough PO usually sits here looking for speeders.
