Williamsburg, Massachusetts Speed Traps
State Route 9 near Gulf Station
Just past the Gulf station on route 9, common speedtrap for westbound traffic in Williamsburg. Speed limit drops quickly from 45 to 30 and then 25 mph, which is nonsensical at night with no pedestrian traffic, but the police are quick to add some revenue in the 25 mph zone.
rt 9
The citizens of "Burgy" use the length of rt9 as a revenue enhancement zone. The worst area is within 2 miles each way(esp.just to the east) of the Williamsburg General Store. Not only do they move from one "violation"to another, they are unusually surly about it.They use a low power radar that doesn’t give radar detectors much time to warn victims.Don’t spend any money in this town.
