Kent Island, Maryland Speed Traps

Route 50 crossovers 5 within 5 miles east of Bay Bridge. Two agencies, MTA and State Police almost constantly writing speeding tickets. Speed limit is set at 55 for highway built for 65. Local know and slow down at locations. Traffic from out of area are easy prey. The Bay Bridge is left unprotected until accident occurs.

Police Cars regularly sit in the median just East of the Bay Bridge; one facing each way. Sometimes they hide under the shade of the Route 8 overpass and step out onto Rt.50 East to wave people in- tough to spot!

After you get off the bay bridge going eastbound, about a mile or two later you’ll see the shopping area’s on the right. State troopers hang under these overpasses behind the barriers and run lidar heavily. Usually in packs or 3-4. Stay in the rifht side after exiting the bridge as they can’t enforce the far side and are shooting the left land only usually. 8/10 times i see this its always for eastbound traffic not westbound. Also this area is always patrolled by troopers with constant Ka Band radar on.
