There is a long straightaway where Freeport police love to hang out with their radar. Especially when your coming from Durham where it is 50 mph because it drops to 40 mph just before entering Freeport and most people do not notice.

Radar equipped police vehicle parked in driveway at 139 South Freeport Road. This is a 25 MPH zone within a few yards of 40 MPH zone.

If traveling south, the police vehicle is hidden, a dark vehicle backed against a dark barn in low light. A dip in the roadway causes the barn itself to be unseen until 500 feet.

If traveling north, the police vehicle is entirely hidden behind the barn structure. The police vehicle is parked off the public roadway, in a private drive and backed against the barn.

The road is wide and well paved without obstruction and few structures, appearing as the 40 MPH zone which a few yards past the police vehicle it is
