Chesterfield, Michigan Speed Traps

This stretch of road merges down to a single lane if going south at M-59 and again at 21 mile if going north, so people speed to squeeze in at the merge. There are several side streets on the lake side of Jefferson that the cops like to hid.

Sits on the South side of M-59 behind the guard rail, …all because you are near Selfridge Air Base. The hill going down makes you accelerate, so watch your speed!

They sit watching for seat belt use, in every parking lot for every establishment on the East side of the road – starting at the Valero going South to CVS – sometimes it’s an unmarked black van. Please make sure you have them on – I see them pull so many people over I would say at least twice a month and it will go on for a couple of days during rush hour and even on weekends.

Speed limit is 25 mph. Hard to keep that speed as it seems like a rural 2 lane road, that is usually 40 mph.
