Church Street near Patterson Road
As you travel west up Church Street, Reed City Police Department sit in the parking lot at the Watertower Little League field, just up the hill so you can’t see them. The limit is 25 mph because it is in the city limits, but if you are traveling west you come over the hill away from homes, schools and business’ on your way out of town. It is hard to get your vehicle up the hill at 25 mph, but if you are doing 30-35 mph, you are getting a ticket.

The speed drops without warning from 45 to 35 so for at least one block you may be over the limit. That’s when you can be "caught" speeding.
US Highway 131 near Mile Marker 152
Northbound US-131 mile marker 152…just before the Reed City (US-10) exit. State Polce from the Reed City post LOVE to sit there…in the median..hidden by trees. Mostly radar. Stay at 76mph and you will be okay. Faster…you are probably toast!
Interstate 10 between 20th & Reed Rd
They travel in packs. You’ll see one and think your safe then you’ll see another within 1 mile. If fighting the ticket, know that the judge is a "hometown" resident. Unless you have photo proof, she’ll always side with the cops. Sheriff in the town is ridiculously "by the book" and will not provide required information on an officer’s performance history unless forced to by the court. Suggestion is to file written complaints against the officer, magistrate, prosecuting attorney, and judge if you don’t get a fair hearing. Appropriate people to send the complaint to are Osceola Count State representative, Reed City Mayor’s office, and Reed City business owners. Word of caution, the cops, judge, and city attorney are dishonest leave this little town back in the 1950’s and take your business elsewhere!
