Chino Valley, Arizona Speed Traps
Road 2 north west of Walgreens
Radar unit sits in the trees on the north side of street. Has a clear view all the way to Road 1 east.
Also most of the sheriff vehicles have their radar on all the time.
Reed Road from Outer Loop all the way north to Road 5.
Although this is a residential area the road is wide and 45mph would be very safe. However, the limit is 30mph and a perfect road for a radar violation as they always have the radar turned on in the vehicles. They drive this road as it is the main road north and south besides Hwy 89.
State Highway 89
The speed limit through Chino Valley on Highway 89 is 45 mph which is reasonable. Entering and leaving town however, there is a long stretch of rural highway posted at 55 mph before it turns to 65 mph.
Private Rd & E Perkinsville Rd
(Eastbound) There are usually two law enforcement vehicles hidden at the entrance of Hines Horticulture behind the water tanks after business hours. I was ticketed for 10 over. The ticket cost $130 but I chose to pay $175 for a Defensive Driving class so it wouldn’t go on my record. The posted speed limit for Perkinsville Rd is 30 MPH.
