Walker, Michigan Speed Traps

Every so often I will see a police car hiding in the orchard on the NE corner. I have only seen him heading to the north and I can imagine it is very hard if not impossible to see him heading the other direction because the trees would conceal him.

Four lane street. Eastbound drops from 45 mph to 35 mph at Bristol. Often, Walker PD parks in fire station parking lot on south side of 3 Mile with radar in both directions. Westbounders can’t see trap as the are approaching uphill. Sometimes they sit on side streets as well along this stretch.

The City of Walker policeman was in a black unmarked car and my Bel 980 never picked up a thing! I suspect that he lasered me but I’ll never know. He was sitting at the end of Vistaview Dr while I was traveling West on 3-mile. I probably would have seen him in time if he were in a marked car. Sneaky!

State Police (usually) or local Walker police (occasionally) will hide on the far side of the Bristol Ave overpass on eastbound I-96, just before the Walker Ave exit (28). I haven’t seen them there in a while, but I think that’s just chance; I doubt they’ve abandonded that spot.

K and Ka band. Walker PD. Parked near under bridge in little parking lot inbetween 3 and 4 mile on bristol. I rarely seen them and I use this road a lot. Just seen an Unmarked car using K band tonight.
