Douglas, Arizona Speed Traps

Straight two lane highway little traffic NM State police stop cars going over 55 posted after 65 and 60 signage. More often police are hiding on this highway. Drive the speed limit.

When coming into town from the west, the limit goes from 65 to 25 in less than a mile. Depending on where the officer decides you are when he clocked you from a mile away determines the fine you will pay. Be aware that in Douglas, very few streets have a limit above 25 and those are 30. I was stopped for 31 in a 30, and was given a written warning. Also be aware that NOBODY is safe. I have seen Douglas officers giving tickets to OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS!
