US Highway 53 near Main Street   Ardmore, Alabama

The cops in Ardmore are there gunning day and night. I got my ticket about 6 years ago at 5 am on my way to work. I was out of the city proper in an area where the speed limit was 45mph. I've seen so many people pulled over there. Cops will flash their lights at you if you are even going 1 mile over the speed limit. If you speed through this town you will get caught. In the last 6 years I've seen at least a dozen people pulled over.

5 miles south of Ardmore on 53, state trooper parks in a old gas station facing northbound, you wont see him until its too late if you dont have a detector.

Just under the bridge   Ardmore, Alabama

Coming off of I-65, as you approach the "city" limits, the speed limit drops from 55 to 35 in a REDICULOUSLY small amount of time. Out of towners BEWARE!! The officer was kind enough to understand that we didn't realize the speed limit dropped so suddenly, and politely told us to "watch the signs."

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
