State Highway 38 near Good Hope Road

Marshfield, MissouriSep 09, 20080 Comments

Highway patrol officers sit at the top & bottom of the hill on East State Highway 38 on the north side of the road, next to the dirt-bike track, about 1/4 mile west of Good Hope Road.

At the top of the hill, they can be seen parked in the dirt-bike track entrance…easy to see from a distance when traveling west-bound. At the bottom of the hill, they can be seen parked in an un-used/gated driveway entrance next to the face of a small rock wall…you won’t see them here when traveling westbound, until you pass their position. When traveling east-bound, you won’t see either position until you are up and over the hill top and starting your descent past the dirt-bike track…usually when it’s too late to correct your speed.

They do not sit with their lights on, day or night. At night it’s almost impossible to see them from any distance unless your head-lights catch the reflective lenses on their cars.

Marshfield City PD commonly sits in the service/employee entrance of Webster County Electric during the night. They are usually seen parked there anywhere between 930pm and 1130pm.

When traveling west from the Jackson/Spur/Washington intersection, this service/employee entrance is about 1/8th mile down Washington on the right(north) side of the road.
