Cienega Springs Rd (headed to Desert Bar)

Parker, ArizonaDec 05, 20100 Comments

DPS and La Paz County Sheriff officers back their cars down on the south side of Cienega Springs road heading to the Desert Bar. Most south bound traffic from Havasu and Parker Dam areas are subject to this trap. Whenever you make the curve slow down to 55 for sure.

Mohave Road @ Indian School Road(Headstart)

Parker, ArizonaNov 07, 20100 Comments

The speed is 45 mph 24/7/365! It is posted as "45 mph-School" but it does not "say when school is in session". Most people think that it is only during school hours on school days. I know several people including truckers who have been ticketed on weekends etc.

Hwy 95 North of Town past the Casino

Parker, ArizonaMay 31, 20100 Comments

After you pass the Bluewater Casino heading North on Hwy 95 towards Lake Havasu City the road curves slightly left then right as you head down a moderate hill. At the bottom of this hill is a bridge over a wash, and the police have started parking on the right side. They run the radar on you as you are coming down the hill and you won’t see them because they are basically nosed into scrub brush and have only the clear line-of-sight to get you with the radar gun. They just started using this spot in spring of 2010 now that the trees and shrubs are high enough to hide in.

S. California Avenue near Bridge over the river

Parker, ArizonaOct 17, 20071 Comments

Crossing the Colorado River from California into Parker Az it’s posted 35 mph. There are several signs and a truck inspection station on the right side just past the bridge. Partially hidden in the signs is a 25 sign just before the station. The Parker PD grabs you at this spot and my wifes ticket for 10 over was over the $300.00 mark. About 1/4 mile past the 25 sign it returns to a 35 zone. It is interesting to note that if you are traveling on the other side of the road towards California the speed limit remains 35 mph.
