As you come down a long hill, at the bottom right by the park the limit drops to 15 mph. Often an electronic gun is placed there as well. No warnings are issued and they will hit you for 5mph over.
You MUST come down the hill slowly. If you don’t ride your brakes, you WILL exceed the limit and it is heavily patrolled.
State Highway 63 North near State Route 14
Speed on Hwy 63 North approaching West Plains is 65 mph and ends abruptly at Hwy 63 North & Hwy 14 and turns into 55 mph. It is constantly observed, and as you continue through West Plains on the by-pass it drops abruptly to 45 mph. If you take the business route through town on Porter Wagoner Blvd, it is 45 as you begin South to first light and then 35 through town, which is watched continuously also.

When coming into West Plains from Willow Springs, when you reach the MO 14 junction, the divided highway ends and so does the 65 MPH speed limit, which drops to 55. The 55 limit on this four-mail stretch between MO 14 and Porter Wagoner Blvd. is VERY STRICTLY ENFORCED, and the WPPD WILL pull you over for doing 56 MPH and WILL NOT write you any warnings — you’ve been warned.
