Brevard, North Carolina Speed Traps
Outside of Brevard NC on HWY 280
Hwy 280 Asheville Hwy going into Brevard NC, Seed goes from 55 to 45 after you pass the Fire and Rescue and as you crest Little Mountain cops sit at the bottom of the hill. You have to gear down to maintain 45mph so it’s almost impossible to slow down to speed limit.
Ecusta Rd.
Brevard PD sets behind hedge along Ecusta Rd (hidden) across from old Ecusta Plant to conduct speed traps.
Old Hendersonville Hwy. near Azalea st. intersection
Usually late evening/ early morning TCSO sits in the parking lot of a business. Speed limit is 35 but the road is long and straight so its really easy to be doing about 45 before you realize it. Be careful.

Cops, usually unmarked, sit on the east side of the road near the helicopter landing pad.
US Highway 64W heading out of Brevard near SavMor grocery
heading out of Brevard on U.S. 64 W. is a speed trap zone, regularly a cop is stationed either at the SavMor grocery parking lot or at the Enegy Mart at the ‘foot of the hill’ this are is similar to the "little Mountain’ speed trap but usually it is town cops that enforce this one. it is worst at morning and afternoon rush. the posted speed limits are somewhat restrictive IMO.
