10th Street (overpass) over Dickinson Ave.
Be Careful. When on 10th Street, the rise in the road here gives cops a hill to hide behind. It’s a wide 4 lane road, so you will be surprised to find out that it is a 35 zone. They like to sit near 10th and S Washington Street, facing west.
On 14th Street Between Firetower Road and Greenville Blvd
When you turn off Firetower Rd (or Greenville blvd from the other end), the speed limit turns from 45mph to 35mph and if you don’t pay attention, you’re in for a treat. The cops sit under a tree in the shade (yesterday was 1 patrol car and 1 motorcycle) just waiting for people that don’t see the speed limit change.
Portertown Road
The bridge at the bottom of the hill on Portertown has a speed change from 45 to 35. You are going downhill when the speed changes. This is a HUGE speed trap. Police officers hide behind the apartments.
Kirkland Drive near Greenville Boulevard
Motorcycle cop sits in a vacant lot near intersection with Greenville Boulevard. Kirkland Drive runs between Evans Street and Greenville Boulevard (near GUC). Speed limit is posted as 25 mph.
