The 20 mph speed limit is strictly enforced, will not see sign until you are already over this limit.

Hwy 421, near Starmount Rd.

Going north, this is where the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 mph, even though it is still a good 15 miles before Greensboro city limits. The grass median opens up into a wooded ditch median in several spots. The SHP and Randolph County Sheriff likes to hide in the ditch so you won’t see them until you are on top on them. I don’t know how radar detectors might be affected from this kind of terrain.

State Highway 49 near Kinro Road

Cops like to sit in the parking lot of Roush racing right after you pass Kinro road. Also they travel this part of the road on a regular basis looking for people that don’t slow down from the 55 to 35. This particular area will catch you off guard and thats what they prey on.
