State Route 22 near Midland Road
On Hwy 22 between Midland Road and Pee Dee Road (crossing through Pine Needles Course/St.Josephs). Speed limit is 35. It is easy to keep 45 mph as road from either direction is 45 mph. Patrols cars monitor frequently.
US Highway 15/501 Southbound Lane near Pinehurst Circle Circle
Two or more police will sit approximately 1/4 mile up the highway, sometimes standing outside of their vehicles pointing the radar guns at cars to check speeds and call ahead to other officers waiting to pull over drivers speeding. There is also a motorcycle police officer who can be hard to detect…especially at dusk.
Morganton Road near US Highway 1
Speed limit changes from 45 to 35 about 1/2 mile before US1 exits onto Morganton Rd in Southern Pines. Police park just over a hill often and I have seen many cars pulled over.
