This is a new twist on the speed trap. Failing to stop.

City cops sit in a trailer park entrance on Foushee St and watch for a motorist to enter Foushee st from Morhead. This block of Foushee is the last on the street and the least used. It’s also the last and least used block on Morehead. Failing to come to a complete stop gets you a $50 fine even if there is no traffic in either direction which was the case with my citation. I never figured Roxboro for a quota city. This happened at 9:15 AM Tuesday. It’s no wonder everyone who lives in Person County travels to Durham or Virginia to eat out.

Heading Southbound through Roxboro just after you pass the Autozone and Laserwash place there is often a Roxboro City Police sitting under an abandoned gas stations awning/cover zapping you just as you begin your climb up the hill. Speed limit there is 35mph.

501 N

Roxboro, North CarolinaDec 23, 20020 Comments

Heading north on 501 into Roxboro, the speed limit drops from 55 to 45. It is very common to see Roxboro Police and/or NCSHP cruisers parked in the modular home dealership or John Deere dealership to the right just as the speed limit changes. Also be wary of cruisers parked just before and just after the speed changes.
