State Route 1806 near 3rd to 19th Streets

Mandan, North DakotaJun 05, 20082 Comments

When traveling on Highway 1806 coming from Fort Yates (Sioux Nation) and entering into Mandan, state troopers are prowling on Highway 1806 between the 19th street and 3rd street. The location is at the South entrance of Mandan.

They are specifically targeting Native Americans traveling from the Fort Yates Sioux Nation.

State troopers will pull over Native Americans even if they are driving within the speed limit. The objective is to deter Native Americans from entering into Mandan or Bismarck. Be careful if you are a Native American and traveling to Mandan on Highway 1806.

Drive within the speed limits and make sure all your vehicles or driving documents are in your car and with you.

Interstate 94 near Mile Marker 152

Coming into Mandan from the west, there is a slight hill just before coming into exit 152…a cop likes to sit there so he can get the people coming in who may not have noticed that the speed limit is reduced to 60 at that point.

Bismarck Expressway near Interstate 94

Mandan, North DakotaFeb 10, 20080 Comments

Heading west coming off of West Bismarck Expressway into Mandan, just before it merges with I-94, there are two spots where cops like to sit. First under the railroad bridge just before the memorial bridge exit and coming up at the merging into I-94 traffic. If you start accelerating too early to merge with the interstate traffic, they’ll catch you as you get onto the interstate.
