Bloomingdale, New Jersey Speed Traps

Police car is usually in the parking lot of the building across from the Glenwilde Ave Intersection(use to be the old VFW hall). Police car can’t be seen from either direction due to the slight elevation southbound and the bend in the road as Northbound from Hamburg(Main Street) toward Glenwilde Ave

Trap is either set up off of shoulder heading toward the 287 ramps into Wanaque just before corner near Passaic Cty College entrance, or past Morse Lakes Road, before the Bloomingdale Care Center. Speed limit is 35 on parts of Union and 40 on other parts. Seems mostly 50+ MPH or aggressive driver are pulled over, so seems pretty fair.

Police position in fire road turn-off at bottom of hill coming down from West Milford. Posted 35, but it is easy to hit 50 or more before entering flat at bottom of hill just within sight of radar.

Town cop on 287 N and S between exits for Wanaque and 23.

Bloomingdale pays the bills with tickets on their stretch of this road. Most at risk are mid-day drivers caught exceeding the speed limit by any amount but officers will ticket at all hours of the day.
