County Trunk Any County Road in town near Within town limits

Glen Rock, New JerseyMar 12, 20080 Comments

Virtually every street in this town has a 25 mph speed limit, even those where everyone but everyone normally does 40 mph. The Bergen County police exploit this fact on County roads passing through town, and the County earnsw a lot of money from these and other speed traps. The two specific speed traps already listed here are prime examples. There is also a favorite spot along Midland Ave. west of Paramus Rd. where the cop hides just around a bend in the road. But they can be on any County Rd.

Prospect Street near Grove Avenue

There is a small PSE&G sation (?) and the Bergen County police is there. The policeman has the cars lined up 2nad 3 at a time and as one comes out of the curve he only looks inside his patrol car and signals you over…no escaping a 4 point ticket..speed limit is 25 mph

Maple Avenue

Glen Rock, New JerseyOct 02, 20071 Comments

Maple Avenue runs from Fair Lawn to Ridgewood. It has a posted speed limit of 25 mph during its entire legnth. Ridgewood and Fair Lawn are very reasonable with this, But Glen Rock officers, with nothing else better to do, strictly enforces this. Most of the time the police cruisers shoot the radar toward oncoming traffic as they are driving in the opposite direction. On occasion, They are in the driveway of the park, accross from the police station, under the train overpass.
